Postdoctoral positions in computational genomics

Applications are invited for postdoctoral positions in the lab of Ekta Khurana beginning October, 2014. The lab will be located at Weill Cornell Medical College (WCMC) in New York City. The research focus of the lab will be to understand the role of genomic sequence variants in human disease, with an emphasis on noncoding variants. As a member of the Sandra and Edward Meyer Cancer Center, Institute of Precision Medicine and Institute of Computational Biomedicine at WCMC, postdocs will have opportunities to collaborate with a diverse group of experimentalists and computational biologists.

A PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, genomics or a related field is required. A strong computational background, proficiency in at least one programming language and basic knowledge of statistics are also required. Research experience in genomics, genetics or a related field is desirable.
